When it comes to discussing other cultures it’s very easy to insert our bias when it comes to specific cultural practices. Many people like to believe their culture is superior to another.
For the most part, it is important to try to look at different cultures in a non-judgmental way, no matter how difficult it may be. No one culture is superior or better than another.
This isn’t to say there won’t be discussion on cultural practices that are harmful (i.’honor’ killings,FGM, etc.) so keep in mind that Cultural Fascinations doesn’t endorse harmful practices, the purpose is to understand why these practices take place and discuss the ways people are working to combat these issues.
Other than that, open dialogue and discussion is greatly encouraged. So please, share your views!!
